Lorenzo Balloni, known as ‘Calandrino’, is the proprietor of a cantina not far from Fiesole, which he runs with the help of his sons, but there you can find more than just a wide range of fine Italian wines for he also stocks excellent olive oil, local delicacies and has a selection of fascinating bric a brac as well. Lorenzo is Tuscan through and through, with a characteristic generosity and broadmindedness which make him an engaging host.
His wife, Heidi, has lived and worked all over the world, mainly in education, speaks several languages, and brings of a touch of cosmopolitanism to the Bed and Breakfast.
