Trekking and mountain bike

The Bed and Breakfast Le Due Volpi is situated on trail number 28 of the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) foot path system which reaches Monte Veruca and Poggio Castellina, where there is a a shelter at the disposal of hikers.

From the Poggio various foot paths take you along the crest of the hills, including the famous CAI trail numer 00, the gothic line, with spectacular views over the valley of the Mugello.

If you go east from here, you can reach the National Park of Campigna, Monte Falterona and the Casentino Forests. For those who like the thrill of  mountain bikes, the Mugello offers innumerable excursion trails among villas and farms, abbeys and old churches, mountains tops and shelters.
